A major issue with poker players is, once they outplay someone, they think that they can always outplay that poker player. DO NOT FALL INTO THIS BELIEF!!!!
If you strongly outplay someone, be very conscious of what might happen in the future. They may play tighter the next time and you need to be prepared to react accordingly.

This is easily my most favourite Online Poker Secret that I have gotten out of The Tao of Poker!
“See the rasier as a cannon firing alongside yours”
Do not allow a raiser to intimidate you at the poker table. Try to look at the raiser as if he is your friend, assisting you in isolating the field and putting fear into the other poker players.

Books like Super System have been a huge success in selling to new poker players. Most of us who are serious about poker know that the Super System books have been an absolute GIFT to the poker industry – not because of the value in the book, but because of the fish that Super System has bread!
Yes – Doyle Brunson is a master at the game – but do you really think that his advice is decent for anyone playing under 5/10 NL?
Keep in mind that when playing the Super System strategies, you have to be playing against players that are intelligent enough to know the game of poker – and at mid to low stakes poker, you are never going to find a lot of these players. Generally, you are only going to be put in a situation where this strategy will fail.

Its tempting to play weak when the bubble approaches in an online poker tournament. You have played for a while and made it so far, just a bit of a stretch to go until you make back a bit of money.
I think the best question to ask yourself at this point is: Did you play this tournament to win your buy-in back, or to take down first?
We all know the answer to this question, so my question to you is – why bother playing weak to wait and make back your buy-in? The biggest mistake made by less experienced poker players, is to become reserved during the bubble period. This is a point in the tournament where you can take advantage of everyone elses weakness to pick up blinds and build your stack to be in better position once the bubble breaks!
Our best online poker secret for tournaments is most definitely: PLAY THE BUBBLE, DONT LET THE BUBBLE PLAY YOU!

Have you ever heard the phrase “there is more than one way to win the pot”? While I do believe in this, I also believe that you should have a reason for your action.
If you are going to play poker and do it to make money you should not call, bet or raise without a reason for doing so. I think that the game of Texas Hold’em Poker is getting to the point where there are many good poker players that know how to play the game well. If you are asking yourself why this post is called what it is, it is just a question to ask yourself the next time you are playing poker and you are thinking of raising, you should always have an answer.
