I am going to spend the next group of posts, talking about Phil Gordon and his Little Green Book, which I believe to be one of the greatest Beginner/Novice poker books available on the shelves. Not only is it an easy read, but it gives poker players the basic tools to move forward in their poker game and learn how to be a Winning Poker Player.
“Winning poker is not about winning money. Nor is it about reading tells or being the best bluffer. It’s not about winning the most pots. Winning poker is about making the correct decisions” – Phil Gordon
With that being said, you have made a great decision by visiting Online Poker Secrets, as we are here to provide you with the best possibile Poker Secrets we can, and hopefully they will help in improving your game.

When playing online poker, especially texas holdem, today’s game consists of a lot of students of the game. Players are no longer weak in the majority – so they are paying attention to how you play. A common peice of advice is to change up your bets often to keep your hand concealed. With the hundreds of hands you will be playing in a session, I believe that it is really hard to keep track of every hand you play and ensure that you are changing up your bets enough to keep them concealed.
Instead of following this change structure in Online Poker, do the opposite and keep all of your bets the same. If you are raising preflop, choose how much you want to raise (3x BB is my favourite) and continue to do that throughout your whole session, whether your hand is AA or 56 suited. If you are reraising preflop, reraise again the same amount every time (2x the original raise is what I suggest) whether you are doing so with AK or 22.
Dont give your opponents the opportunity to find a glitch in your poker game.

This is easily my most favourite Online Poker Secret that I have gotten out of The Tao of Poker!
“See the rasier as a cannon firing alongside yours”
Do not allow a raiser to intimidate you at the poker table. Try to look at the raiser as if he is your friend, assisting you in isolating the field and putting fear into the other poker players.

Here is an online poker secret that almost seems stupid that I am bringing up; however, with all the tricks and challenges in poker, we tend to forget the easiest concepts – so I am here to remind you:
If you have the best hand – Bet it.
If you think you have the best hand – Bet it!
If you think you are beat – FOLD IT!

If playing badly!
I know most of you are thinking “no I dont” but, you should! You need to learn from your mistakes. If you steal from the local store and dont get caught, arent you most likely to do it again? The same thing goes for online poker. If you do not lose when you play badly, you will continue to do so!
Learn from your mistakes – this is how you will grow the most in the game of poker.
