When playing a full ring table or full table poker tournament of Omaha, you must keep in mind – just because you flop the nuts, doesnt mean that you are going to win the hand! Generally speaking, when playing Texas Holdem, flopping the Nut Straight or Nut Flush is a great thing! In Omaha (especially PLO), you need to be careful.
Being that this is a drawing game, players are not going to let go of their draws to a “better nut” hand – and if there are more than 3 players that saw the flop, I can guarantee that you are getting callers.
Rules in flopping the nuts:
1. DO NOT slowplay on the flop – BET THE POT!
2. If you get called, and the turn is a blank – BET THE POT AGAIN!
3. If the turn pairs the board, bet – but be VERY cautious of a caller and FOLD to a reraiser

When you are playing against someone who just started to play poker online, they are more than likely going to play with two different styles: They are either going to play every hand and call all the way with any draw or they are going to play only strong starting hands and just check call you all the way even if they have the nuts!
At online poker secrets, we recommend STRONGLY: Figure out what kind of newbie you are playing! Figure what kind of player they are and play their kind of poker. If you bet into them and they call and call and then show the nuts on the river you know that next time you bet into them and they call you should be checking it down unless you have the nuts! A lot of the time, a player like this will still call you down with a straight on a flush board, or 2 pair on a straight board – so profiting off these players can be easy!
Just a little tip to keep you from going on tilt in a situation that can be avoided.

Such an easy misconception here – especially when moving from Texas Holdem to Omaha – Top 2 pair isnt enough!!! Regardless of how aggressive the game is, its a drawing game – so if you have top 2, dont play it like you have the nuts! Infact – wait until you have the nuts, and then play aggressive – as for the most part, you are going to get paid off
