If you arrive in a game, online OR offline, and you are over-eager to play poker - this is generally going to affect the way you play. You want to get into the game, and you want to start playing – but if your hands are not good, you may find yourself wanting to play them just to get into the game. If your hands are ok, you may find yourself over playing them. And if your hands are great, you may find yourself not getting the value you need out of your hands!
A great online poker secret would have to be, play when you are calm, relaxed, in a zone, and ready to focus.

Just because you have made a mistake in your poker game, doesnt mean you need to continue it! If you call a bet that you really shouldnt – do not make excuses to call again. If you make a bet that you shouldnt have, do not make a continuation bet just because you started betting in the first place.

An important note about playing poker tournaments: Know the structure before you play!
This is important because, any changes in the structure can affect your overall play. If the structure is regular for the first 2 hours, and then afterwards, speeds up a bit – you will have to make a change in your game. If you arent aware of this before you begin the poker tournament, you may find yourself struggling to catch up and then you are not playing your A game.

If you are playing Omaha High Low, it is important that you raise in late position with an Ace Deuce Suited. There are a couple reasons for this, but the main reason would be:
You should generally be playing a tight game in Omaha High Low. So if you are doing this, when you get the opportunity to pretty much guarantee doubling the pot, there is no better hand to do this than an A2XX suited! Make the best of your opportunities!

One of the worst things you can do in online poker, is hold a grudge. Say a poker player wins 5 pots against you in a session, generally you will begin to feel like you just want to beat that player. This will cause you to make bad decisions in the moment, and not focus on your skills.
Do not hold personal vendetta’s against your opponents. Poker is a war, not a boxing match. You have several opponents to overcome, so do not let one take advantage of you.
