Poker is not a game about Right Now, even though the ability to win right now is a possibility. The biggest trap in Online Poker would have to be the chance to have immidiate profit at the instant that you want to play.
The reality is, your impatience to win Now can be a hinderance to your game. Desperation isnt the way to play poker. Poker is a game of patience and a game of time, so keep in your head that your wins will come over time, and they will.

“There is interaction if there is a call for it, no interaction if there is no call for it” – Zen master Yangshan
The reality in poker is, there is no unwritten rule that just because you have been dealt 100 terrible hands, doesnt mean that you should play second rate cards because you are “due to win”! Patience will be tested, but you will not be rewarded for your patience until you begin to receive the hands you should be playing.
Online Poker Secrets suggests that if you have been folding a lot, and your hands still arent improving: KEEP FOLDING!

When playing a full ring table or full table poker tournament of Omaha, you must keep in mind – just because you flop the nuts, doesnt mean that you are going to win the hand! Generally speaking, when playing Texas Holdem, flopping the Nut Straight or Nut Flush is a great thing! In Omaha (especially PLO), you need to be careful.
Being that this is a drawing game, players are not going to let go of their draws to a “better nut” hand – and if there are more than 3 players that saw the flop, I can guarantee that you are getting callers.
Rules in flopping the nuts:
1. DO NOT slowplay on the flop – BET THE POT!
2. If you get called, and the turn is a blank – BET THE POT AGAIN!
3. If the turn pairs the board, bet – but be VERY cautious of a caller and FOLD to a reraiser

There is a lot of talk in poker among players whether or not pot odds are good enough in tournament poker to risk a lot or all of your chips. I think that the more experienced tournament players would tell you that pot odds should not be the sole reason to call most or all of your chips in a tournament. Many have said that your chips are too valuable in a tournament to risk them by just the calculation of pot odds.
The online poker secret is: Dont rely ONLY on Pot Odds, use it as a mere calculation in addition to all of your skills.

If you already know the ins and outs of playing poker online, this online poker secret just might be what it takes for you to transition from a losing to a winning poker player.
No matter what stake you are playing, you should always have a minimum of 10x the Max Buy-in in your bankroll. DO NOT MOVE UP STAKES, UNTIL YOU HAVE ATLEAST 10X MAX BUY-IN TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!!
Having an appropriate bankroll to play a certain level of poker is just as important as understanding how to play the game! I keep a general rule to myself that if I am going to move up stakes, I must have atleast 15x the max buy-in for the game – this way, i have 5x buy-ins to play with and keep myself at the stake I am playing, without moving back down.
